3. November – Warrumbungle NP and a big teleskop

The Warrumbungle NP has stunning views. That’s inspite of the major bush-fire that hit the park in 2013. Nearly everthing was burnt – even the visitor center was distroyed.

Slowly nature recovers from the terrible fire.

The bare trees in the upper part are all burnt – from the ground new trees are growing.

Close to the NP is the biggest mirror telescope of Australia.

We were at the visitor center, had a nice coffee and we could have a good look at the telescope. It even moved, when we were there.

It a huge apparatus!

But the park is convincing manly due to it’s nature beauty.  Amazing all the kangaroos that we saw in the late afternoon as well as many birds.  Annette took a picture of a cude kangaroo:

Today our tent is in use again. The campground is very nice – and we can see a group of taiwanese youngsters cooking and grilling for hours. The two german girls from Saarbrücken are slightly faster – we have allready eaten our dinner – millet with mushrooms and fennel.
