8. November – to Adelaide

map

This morning at the caravan park in Mildura – it was again quite chilly and we are freezing – probably for the last time in this journey – in the tent. The campground is a pensioners gathering, which we fit in very well. Lots of Australiens spend their twilight by travelling – and have their own words for it…

We finally leave only at 11 am – we want to drive to Adelaide today, to Kerryn and John where we hope to be in the evening. On our way  the Murray River NP is situated. But in vain we tried to find a cosy place to have our pre-cooked lunch (the rest of yesterday’s dinner ;-). Even after 5 km gravel road only dry bushland and industrial vine growing…

The cosy place we find is at the shores of Lake Bonney, a few kilometers away…

On our way to Adelaide on Sturt Highway, we cross the River Murray for the last time:

Finally, we reach Adelaide just in time and are very happy about the warm welcome of Kerryn.

Thank you, Kerryn and John (who is away for business at the moment).

In Adelaide, we will stay until the 23. November, when our plane to Bali leaves in the evening.

And this is our way of today:
